BlackBerry® offers leading wireless solutions, providing access to a wide range of applications on a variety of BlackBerry devices, as well as BlackBerry Connect™ and BlackBerry Built-In™ devices around the world. BlackBerry wireless solutions combine wireless devices with software and services to keep mobile professionals connected to the people, data and resources that drive their day.

The BlackBerry platform allows corporate to extend their existing applications to BlackBerry devices using a variety of tools and architectures. Web-based applications can be extended to the BlackBerry Browser with no device-side development required and BlackBerry Development Environment can be used to build custom client/server applications that can be easily integrated with existing back-end systems built on a variety of technologies.

Airtel Introduces BlackBerry to Indian Market.

Application and Services :-

1. Extending back-end enterprise applications such as corporate dashboards, approvals and workflow processes, data collection forms and custom applications to a rich Java client or the BlackBerry Browser.

2. Leveraging existing solutions from to extend business-critical enterprise applications to BlackBerry devices.

BlackBerry Solution Architecture :-

Developed a BlackBerry Java Client Application (Mobility Sales) as a POC.

Mobility Sales is an end-user application that allows sales force in the field to access critical customer and corporate data and interact with essential information.

Information can be uploaded whenever there’s network coverage or by using handheld local storage to further upload when the handheld is connected to the network again.

Features :-

Improve responsiveness - Provide sales professionals with timely access to information about the customers who want to buy and details about the products and services that are available to sell. Sales professionals can capitalize on opportunities immediately by using BlackBerry to automatically receive lead alerts from opportunity management systems and then retrieve sales-related information while in the field.

Improve productivity - Sales forces can use Mobility Sales to capture sales orders and account information on-the-spot, entering it directly into SFA systems, so they spend less time doing administrative work back at the office. It allows sales professionals to spend more time in the field working towards their sales objectives.
