BUSINESS CASE :

• On 28th February India had their Budget announced, as part of this major event CNBC-TV18 had organized a Quiz in their Television Channel.

• As the Budget Speech was under progress, objective answer based questions was aired in the Channel every hour. Topics were related to the budget that was going to be announced.

• For e.g.: -
Question 1: What is the Budget Layout for the Education fund.
- Option a: INR 3000 – 5000 Crores,
- Option b: INR 5000 – 8000 Crores,
- Option c: INR 3000 – 5000 Crores.

• The answers were to be replied as a SMS to Short Code 52622. The keyword for this contest was bfn, so if the answer were Option c for Question 1 then people would type bfn<space>1<space>c and send it to 52622. The winners were broadcasted on the Live channel every hour, the prize was 1.5 lakh rupees. This contest was held across 12 hours with winners every hour for a total of 18 Lakhs.

• The Contest was successful with replies making the highest number of hits ever for the Short Code 52622 of more than 1 Lakh SMS in one single day. Techshastra comfortably managed the Load with out facing any problem.

ASSISTANCE PROVIDED :

Co-ordinated with all Cellular Service Providers in India and blocked the Short Code '52622'.

Development and maintenance of SMS Application and integrated this application with SMSC of all the service providers.

Integrated the SMS Application with the Backend DB Server of CNBC's - www.moneycontrol.com
